Episode 4 of Beat The Clock was supposed to be a clean criss cross ribbon Dutch braid challenge. Instead, the braid had to be restarted, rubber bands popped twice, and the clock kept running the whole time. Somehow, the final style was finished with only 6 seconds left.
The Challenge
This style was built around a criss cross ribbon transition using lavender ribbon woven into Dutch braids. The goal was to keep the ribbon clean, balanced, and visible while still finishing the entire style under a strict 30-minute timer.
The hard part was not just the braid. It was keeping the ribbon from twisting, keeping the sections even, and maintaining control while the clock kept counting down.
What Went Wrong
- The braid had to be restarted mid-style.
- Rubber bands popped twice during the challenge.
- The ribbon had to stay even while the structure was being rebuilt.
- The final cleanup had to happen with almost no time left.
